Dr Myron Wentz is an internationally recognized microbiologist, immunologist, and pioneer in the development of human cell culture technology and infectious diseases. USANA have been marketing high quality nutritional supplements all over the world for more than 17 years. Usana Inc is a public listed company on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Several well known athletes from around the world use USANA nutritionals everyday as part of their health and well being regime.

There are some great benefits of being involved with company like USANA that has been around for some time such as stability, branding, reputation and leadership. From a product perspective, you are marketing some of the best known quality nutritionals in the world. USANA products are backed by many years of scientific research into cell nutrition.

How does the opportunity stack up?

When it comes to evaluating business opportunity like USANA, I like to look at from many angles such as

• What is the market penetration like of the products in my area or the market I want to focus on?

• How are the products positioned in the market, are they affordable in their own right?

• Does the company provide great marketing tools?

• How do they reward their distributors in the form of compensation?

• Do they provide great leadership?

When I review USANA from a business perspective, I would have liked to become involved in the business in the early to late 90’s. At this point of time becoming involved in USANA and make a couple of thousand of dollars per month from customers from the sales of nutritional products. However in 2010, doing a similar thing would be bit more difficult because of nutritional MLM market saturation by thousands of other companies within this market segment.

So what are the implications? The nutritional industry is nearing a trillion dollars in sales therefore people have been approached so many times by nutritional companies over the years that people become closed minded to your opportunity. The chances of your prospects already being exposed to USANA products can be high, therefore their goes your warm market list.

USANA uses a binary compensation plan for its commission structure. Back in the 1990’s binary plans were just born. Binary plans are some of the best performing compensation plans among other type of structures, but personally not my favourite. Like most other binary compensation plans, there is always a chance of spillover from your upline, which in turns creates a power leg. One of your main goals is to balance the two legs of your business as best you can. USANA pays out 10% of your volume on your weakest leg.

Do you want to build an organization where you have to overcome a massive amount of unconscious resistance? Or would you rather build your business in a way that is attractive to the general public?

The biggest thing I can recommend if you’re going to join USANA is that you learn how to MARKET your business in a way that removes resistance in your prospects, and you’ll find that you get fewer objections in your marketing process. Personally, I’ve found that I can take my skill sets in marketing and sponsor 2-3 people per day into any business that I choose, but it took me a long time to develop those skills and the fact is that I wouldn’t want to have to develop them in an environment where there was an increased sales resistance due to an over saturated market.

THERE IS money to be made in USANA, but decide for yourself whether it’s a good business or not. Just whatever you do, learn the essential skills that will enable you to create massive profitability, remove sales resistance, and sponsor people without overcoming stupid objections all day and night.
